 Diagnostic Reviews are designed for businesses that already use accounting software — preferably QuickBooks Online — and have at least a year of activity in their file.

Whether you’ve been managing the books yourself or working with a prior bookkeeper, we evaluate what’s working well and where accuracy or clarity needs improvement.

This service is also helpful for business owners who want an independent second look at their bookkeeping processes and controls.

If you are seeking ongoing monthly bookkeeping with us, a Diagnostic Review is required before we provide a quote. This ensures pricing is accurate and expectations are clear on both sides.

A Diagnostic Review is a structured evaluation of your bookkeeping file and related workflows. We examine key areas including:

• Account reconciliations
   
• Transaction volume and categorization patterns
   
• Banking rules and automation settings
   
• Chart of accounts structure
   
• Inventory setup (if applicable)
   
• Third-party integrations
   
• Sales tax configuration
   
• Payroll setup and postings
   
• Accounts receivable and payable workflows
   
• Financial statement accuracy and presentation
   

You receive a detailed written report outlining:

• what is correct
   
• what needs adjustment
   
• what requires cleanup
   
• recommended next steps
   

If cleanup or monthly service is appropriate, we will provide clear quotes. If you choose not to continue with us, you can take the report to any provider — the review still stands on its own value.

We love to examine books, so we typically turn around diagnostic reviews within a few days.  The reports are the most time consuming piece but you can expect to hear from us quickly.

We charge $495 for a diagnostic review, paid in advance.

You receive a structured, detailed assessment.

4️⃣ Results meeting
We walk through the findings with you and answer all questions.

 Recommendations depend on your situation.

If you manage your own books:
We may suggest workflow improvements and best practices. Some clients choose an annual review going forward.

If you have an internal or outside bookkeeper:
We may recommend process adjustments or targeted coaching support.
