Monthly Bookkeeping Service

Who needs this service?

We work with a variety of clients, all of whom are using or open to using Quickbooks Online, of which we are certified ProAdvisors.

  

Whether you’ve been managing the books yourself or working with a prior bookkeeper, we can support and tailor our services to meet your specific accounting needs.


This service is also available for business owners who have a current bookkeeper and want to outsource some of the more complex tasks, give support to their staff, or another pair of eyes.  We can do it all or just add support.


If you are seeking ongoing monthly bookkeeping with us, a Diagnostic Review is required before we provide a quote. This ensures pricing is accurate and expectations are clear on both sides.

What's included?

 Scope varies by business needs, but monthly service commonly includes:

  • Bank and credit card reconciliations

  • Error detection and correction

  • Payroll support

Timeline?

We discuss with you how you prefer to communicate, how often you want reports, and your expectations during onboarding.  We provide concierge bookkeeping services, Monday-Friday during daylight hours. 

Investment?

Monthly bookkeeping services are billed at a flat monthly rate that takes into consideration your transaction volume, number of accounts, complexity of workflows, reporting needs, access to statements, whether or not you use payroll services, whether you have inventory, whether you file sales taxes and several other factors.  You will receive your price quote in advance.  No surprises.

How it works/Onboarding

 

  1. Brief introductory online meeting
    We learn about your business and current bookkeeping setup.
  2. If you have accounting software already, we will conduct a paid diagnostic review.
  3. If you do not have accounting software currently, we can set it up for you.
    There is a set up fee separate from monthly services.
  4. After the diagnostic review, we will give you a quote for what we recommend, most commonly, clean up and catch up, then monthly service.  If you want to engage our services, we will send you an Engagement Letter to sign.
  5. Clean up and catch up is paid 50% up front and has a defined time period.  
  6. Monthly services will begin concurrently with clean up.  Monthly service is paid during the month the service is provided.  We expect to set up automatic recurring monthly payments with you.
  7. You will provide all the information that we need to complete our work.
    We prefer to have Read Only access to bank and credit card accounts to pull statements ourselves.  We need user access to all softwares used, such as accounting, payroll, e-commerce, etc.
  8. After 3 months, we will reevaluate our engagement to make sure all parties are happy.
  9. Our engagement continues until either party terminates it.  Easy peasy.
